The City of Vista is developing a Sustainable Mobility Plan (SMP) in alignment with the city's vision for a safer, healthier, and more equitable future. The City seeks to modernize its transportation system to better connect its diverse neighborhoods to jobs, schools, transit, and daily destinations. The plan will identify barriers to mobility within the city and establish a path toward connected, reliable, and safe transportation options.

 

As part of the SMP, the City will facilitate the following outreach activities:

Perform individualized school walk audits for 11 schools within the city

​

Participate in existing City events to gather feedback from residents

​

Host community workshops to gather feedback on key milestones

​

Survey community members to identify potential improvement projects

​

Conduct community walks at key locations throughout the city

 

The SMP will be grounded in the existing conditions and needs of the city and informed by the recommendations of the public.
