Pop-Up #1: National Night Out

On August 4, 2026, Vista Community Clinic (VCC) and the City of Vista participated in the National Night Out event in Vista promoting the Vista Sustainable Mobility Plan (SMP) project. Efforts focused on introducing the project to event attendees, encouraging attendees to provide feedback on how they move through the City of Vista by completing the online survey, and promoting the upcoming Community Workshop at Vista City Hall on August 6, 2026. Project staff spoke with 55 community members. As attendees learned about the project, many were able to provide feedback regarding several safety concerns and traffic issues.

Workshop #1

Thursday, August 6, 2026

On August 6, 2026, the Vista SMP project team hosted its first community workshop in a hybrid open-house format, engaging 22 participants both in person and online. Attendees shared transportation safety concerns, identified mobility priorities, and provided input on improvements for walking, biking, transit, and neighborhood connectivity. Feedback emphasized the need for safer streets, improved pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, enhanced transit amenities, and a more accessible and sustainable transportation network.
